Clarifying the rumors and gossips from Crunch Dubai's article "DSRPTD.NET: Spearheading the Blockchain and AI Revolution in Dubai"

Crunch Dubai published an article by Adil Tariq titled "DSRPTD.NET: Spearheading the Blockchain and AI Revolution in Dubai".

While we appreciate the effort and the daring to attempt to dive into the Tech VC Browser of the world; DSRPTD.net which is an encyclopedic and a conglomeration of the entire VC spectrum which can be overwhelming for anyone who is new to it to really cover it all in one bite. Yet. We would really like to clarify some of the inaccurate information that was presented in Crunch Dubai's article... And brag a little bit.

The article starts with an amazing and incredible praising for DSRPTD describing it as engineering and spearheading the transformation of AI and Web3 and serving as a cornerstone of disruption in the middle east.

It comes with no surprise as DSRPTD.net have had outstanding testimonials before such as Tekrevol's Founder and CTO quoted "I see DSRPTD more or less like Tech Crunch except better", World Token Summit Host and Organiser commented on DSRPTD.net; "This looks 50 times bigger than other industry giants. It makes Cointelegraph and CoinDesk look so tiny compared to them.". Also the CEO of UCO Network whose reaction to DSRPTD.net came in an unbelievable testimonial; "Wow,... you have everything. Wow,... You almost know half of the world. Wow,... this is impossible, how could this be possible. Yet you come with irrefutable proof,... generosity,... a communication beast".

While the article emphasises that DSRPTD's focus is on Blockchain Technology and AI. Yet DSRPTD is tackling the entire Tech VC Spectrum not only Blockchain and AI, while Web3 and AI are the mainstream trend these days. DSRPTD has startups from various jurisdictions such as the USA, Europe, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, and Asia from different verticals such as Fintech, Biotech, MarTech, Gaming, Web3, AI, Marketplaces, Industrials & Manufacturers, CleanTech, Renewables, Mobility, as well as funds and investment vehicles looking for LPs and co-investments to raising for their portfolio startups.

Also they mention the Dubai AI & Web3 Festival as hosted by DSRPTD. To correct this and clarify; the Dubai AI & Web3 Festival is hosted by the newly inaugurated Dubai AI Campus which DSRPTD is the official Ecosystem and Media Partner to the festival. Also, DSRPTD Host and the CEO and Global CIO of G.P.I. Global Partners Investments Limited was on the Round-table Dialogue discussing the conceptualisation, topics, programme structure, and speakers at the upcoming first Dubai AI & Web3 Festival by Dubai AI Campus and also on the jury of the FutureTech World Cup. Maybe they confused the main homepage banner of the Dubai AI & Web3 Festival on DSRPTD.net with DSRPTD hosting the event.

They also posted on LinkedIn with captions including the mentions of IBM as a strategic partner to DSRPTD (Which never happened), and Microsoft for Startups (Which is true when they were still operating) also mentioning support from DMCC's Chairman and CEO (We think they are referring to Ahmed Bin Sulayem's post on LinkedIn of Gordon Einstein's Podcast with Ahmed Refaie; the Host of DSRPTD. Also they mention in their post Dr, Aisha Bin Bishr the Board Member of SRTIP Sharjah Research, Tech, and Innovation Park, while actually we had H.E. Hussain Al Mahmoudi the CEO of SRTIP on a DSRPTD Business Hut Talk on DSRPTD 2021 Stage.

While the article emphasises on the Crypto (A word we don't much mention and rarely use at DSRPTD unless essential) and the Venture Capital Landscape in Dubai. Crunch Dubai highlights our Web3 and VC angle within the UAE Ecosystem with elaborations such as:

We would like to clarify the misconception and clarify that DSRPTD spans across the entire Tech VC Spectrum not just Web3 and AI. From tech verticals such as Cybersecurity, Renewables, CleanTech, Mobility, to Fintech, Web3, and AI among others across different jurisdictions and countries.

The article elaborates further on DSRPTD's Broader Impact on the UAE's Tech Ecosystem with statements such as:

"DSRPTD.NET does more than just host events and fund startups. It is a beacon of knowledge, offering educational programs and resources that help startups and investors stay at the forefront of technology and business strategies. The article also listed some links which might be a little bit misleading or misguiding. So to make it more clear, the links listed in the article are explained correctly as follows:

"Connect with DSRPTD.NET event website : Web3District | DSRPTD" is actually for DSRPTD's latest Web3 District Gathering (not DSRPTD Summit) which took place in 2 cities at the same time Lisbon and Dubai in partnership with Polygon X Zebra Regen House in Lisbon and EcoX in Dubai.

"Check out the agenda for the event Agenda | DSRPTD" is actually the link to the agenda of DSRPTD 2021 Summit.

We have totally no idea where did they get this photo from. This picture above was from the "Goliath (e& Capital) Meets David (Privity); What PE & VC Really Are" DSRPTD Talk from DSRPTD 2023 Day 2 at InvoiceMate HQ at Fairmont Dubai which was published on Privity's website news section.

Under a section titled "FAQ DSRPTD 2024" they mention Key speakers include Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr, Saeed Al Darmaki, Noor Sweid, Ramez Dandan, and Nick Spanos, among others. We have no idea where did they get these speakers from. We only had Saeed Al Darmaki the Founder and CEO of Sheesha Finance on a DSRPTD Talk on DSRPTD 2022 Stage. And as of now we still didn't announce any speakers for DSRPTD 2024 yet.
