The wait is nearly over as the much-anticipated Compass Grand Finals 2024, organized by YaLLa Esports, has kicked off in just over a week. From June 5-9, 2024, Abu Dhabi became the epicenter of global esports excitement, hosted an array of spectacular events at Space42 Arena and the iconic Bab Al Qasr.

From June 7-9, the heart of the event was the Compass Grand Finale, where 12 of the world's elite Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams, including renowned names like Eternal Fire, Astralis, ENCE, HEROIC and FURIA battled it out for supremacy and a share of the impressive $400,000 prize pool. Took place at the new state-of-the-art Space42 Arena, Al Raha Beach, this showdown promised edge-of-the-seat action and was broadcasted live in 12 languages, reaching audiences across over 100 territories.

The event commenced with exclusive B2B invite-only events on June 5-6, in collaboration with the Esports Future Initiative (EFI). These included educational workshops tailored for local stakeholders and a one-day Esports Future Priority Summit. Attendees gained insights into industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends, offered invaluable opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing.

Celebrating Gaming Culture:

Beyond the high-stakes competition, the Compass Grand Finals celebrated the broader gaming culture with a variety of side events from June 7-9. These included an exciting cosplay competition, a community tournament (by Arena Esports, powered by e&), and other pop culture activations, ensured an inclusive and engaging experience for all attendees. Cosplayers expected an exciting competition and free tickets.

Innovative Hackathon:

Adding to the excitement, the Compass Hackathon 2024 took place on June 7, invited tech enthusiasts and innovators to a 24-hour challenge at the Space42 Arena, Al Raha St, Abu Dhabi during the Compass Grand Finals. Participants explored the fusion of AI, web3 and gaming, tackle unique hacking challenges, and competed for prestigious prizes.
